Inner World
Many of my clients have the coping skills to get through the day, but what they’re really longing for is deep, internal healing. If this is you, I’m so glad you’re here. One thing I’ve learned from this work is that real change doesn’t come from coping skills, logic, or just talking about it. It comes from the deeper, connected, inner work that helps you actually shift what’s happening inside.
My approach centers on reconnecting you with your own internal wisdom and healing your relationship with yourself. I primarily use Internal Family Systems (IFS), alongside other evidence-based approaches (see below) to help you deepen self-awareness, work through what’s happening inside, and cultivate a more peaceful inner world.

I'm so glad you took these first steps! Let’s work together to make this a meaningful experience that truly supports your growth. If you are interested or curious about starting therapy with me, please reach out. I would love to support you in your healing journey!
Qualifications and Experience
I am truly fascinated by this work and strive to constantly learn from board-approved trainings, books, podcasts, clients and life itself. Beware, I do love a book recommendation (no pressure to read if that's not your thing though)! I also participate in confidential, peer consultation to seek multiple perspectives that may help me refine my practice. I have owned my own practice for the past four years which has helped me clarify a therapeutic direction that works best for my clients- always keeping an open mind, of course.
I am licensed by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors (LCMHC #14052). I have a Master’s degree in counselor education in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in both psychology and sociology. I have eight years of clinical experience and have worked in multiple settings including an HIV/AIDs treatment center, community mental health centers and inpatient eating disorder hospitals.
Identity and Culture in Therapy
Culture and identity are central to our lived experience and they deserve to be honored in therapy. I want you to know that I will hold these parts of yourself with care and curiosity. I will work hard to make sure you don’t feel alone in the burden of being understood. I’ll do my own learning, and when needed, I may ask for clarification to better understand how your unique experience differs from broader cultural norms.
Some Identities We May Share
I am a cis, queer woman, happily married to my partner of 10 years (a cis man). I live with a chronic pain condition that can limit my mobility and requires ongoing care to maintain my quality of life. I am estranged from a parent by choice and have navigated my own journey of mental health through therapy and other forms of emotional healing. I have first hand experience that therapy can be life changing and I'd love to share in that experience with you!
The stranger you'll trust with your feelings
I’m a down-to-earth therapist, the kind who genuinely wants to meet your pet, see a picture of the person you’re dating, and read that confusing text from your coworker. I’m invested in your world and the things that matter to you.

We might have a lot in common if you love movies, crafts, or the beach. I never pass up a good nature metaphor or a movie reference if it helps make things feel more relatable.

I’m also a goofy, imperfect human, and I bring my full self into this work. I believe healing happens through connection, and connection tends to grow when we can show up as our full, authentic selves…pets, quirks and all.
